The AIIA Field School is a primary contributor to the Lough Key Open Data Archaeological Project. This project captures data through the course of field research and presents the data on a website that follows recognized standards for open access and open data. The project adheres to the Berlin Agreement on Open Access, and thus allows researchers and scholars the ability to use any and all data freely and without fee, with the proviso that all data must include the following statement:

“This data was made available through the Lough Key Open Data Project, and is subject to the terms of the Berlin Open Data Agreement.

The presentation of data at that site is an ongoing process, and ultimately will include survey data, aerial photographs, soil samples, antiquarian images, GIS data, and excavation data.
